Dominant groups

Analysis of the country of birth of the population in the City of Moonee Valley in 2016 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a smaller proportion of people born overseas, as well as a smaller proportion of people from a non-English speaking background.

Overall, 27.6% of the population was born overseas, and 23.1% were from a non-English speaking background, compared with 33.8% and 27.0% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
