Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Stroud and surrounds in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Managers (227 people or 18.0%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (211 people or 16.7%)
  • Labourers (179 people or 14.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 617 people in total or 48.9% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, MidCoast Council area employed 12.3% in Managers; 14.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 12.6% in Labourers.
