Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in MidCoast Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (5,650 people or 16.6%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (5,116 people or 15.0%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (4,930 people or 14.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 15,696 people in total or 46.1% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional NSW employed 19.2% in Professionals; 13.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 14.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of MidCoast Council area and Regional NSW were:
