Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Northern Yeppoon in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Mining (108 males or 19.7%)
  • Construction (91 males or 16.6%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (40 males or 7.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 239 males in total or 43.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Livingstone Shire Council area employed 17.1% in Mining; 17.5% in Construction; and 5.5% in Accommodation and Food Services.
