Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Shire of Harvey in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,382 females or 21.7%)
  • Education and Training (953 females or 15.0%)
  • Retail Trade (800 females or 12.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,135 females in total or 49.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Regional WA employed 20.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.5% in Education and Training; and 11.3% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the Shire of Harvey and Regional WA were:
