Dominant groups
In 2021, there were 31 females who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Griffith City, compared with 5,122 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the female residents in Griffith City in 2021, compared to Regional NSW, shows that 0.5% used public transport, while 79.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 0.8% and 61.2% respectively in Regional NSW.
The major differences in females between the method of travel to work of Griffith City and Regional NSW were:
- A larger percentage of females who travelled by car (as driver) (68.6% compared to 56.6%)
- A larger percentage of females who travelled by car (as a passenger) (10.5% compared to 4.6%)
