Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Griffith City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,270 females or 19.7%)
  • Manufacturing (910 females or 14.1%)
  • Retail Trade (859 females or 13.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,039 females in total or 47.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Regional NSW employed 26.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 3.0% in Manufacturing; and 11.3% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Griffith City and Regional NSW were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in manufacturing (14.1% compared to 3.0%)
