Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Griffith City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (2,568 people or 18.8%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (1,699 people or 12.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,529 people or 11.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,796 people in total or 42.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional NSW employed 5.6% in Manufacturing; 5.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 16.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Griffith City and Regional NSW were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (18.8% compared to 5.6%)
