Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the male population in Division 04 in 2021 compared to Gold Coast City shows that there was a lower proportion of males holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of males with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 54.9% of the male population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 35.3% had no qualifications, compared with 56.5% and 34.5% respectively for Gold Coast City.

The major differences between qualifications held by the male population of Division 04 and Gold Coast City were:

  • A larger percentage of males with Vocational qualifications (29.5% compared to 28.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males with Bachelor or Higher degrees (15.7% compared to 18.8%)
