Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Burleigh Heads in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (426 males or 19.3%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (217 males or 9.9%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (188 males or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 831 males in total or 37.7% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Jacobs Well - Alberton employed 26.6% in Construction; 3.2% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 3.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
