Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Burleigh Heads in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (521 females or 21.6%)
  • Education and Training (305 females or 12.7%)
  • Retail Trade (269 females or 11.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,095 females in total or 45.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Hope Island employed 18.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.6% in Education and Training; and 10.4% in Retail Trade.
