Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Surfers Paradise - North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Accommodation and Food Services (932 people or 16.0%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (639 people or 11.0%)
  • Retail Trade (551 people or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,122 people in total or 36.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Guanaba - Springbrook employed 6.9% in Accommodation and Food Services; 13.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 7.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Surfers Paradise - North and Guanaba - Springbrook were:
