Analysis of the household/family types in Division 12 in 2021 compared to Nerang - Mount Nathan shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 25.1% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.0% were one-parent families, compared with 29.1% and 13.4% respectively for Nerang - Mount Nathan.
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 24.5% compared to 23.8% in Nerang - Mount Nathan while the proportion of couples without children was 26.9% compared to 24.0% in Nerang - Mount Nathan.
