Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Gold Coast City in 2021 compared to Miami shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 28.0% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.5% were one-parent families, compared with 20.8% and 9.3% respectively for Miami.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 22.2% compared to 27.7% in Miami while the proportion of couples without children was 26.4% compared to 25.1% in Miami.
