Analysis of the family blending in Burleigh Heads in 2021 compared to Pacific Pines - Gaven shows that there was a higher proportion of step families as well as a higher proportion of blended families. Overall, 12.3% of total couple families with children were step families, and 1.2% were blended families, compared with 10.6% and 6.2% respectively for Pacific Pines - Gaven.
There were a similar proportion of other families and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of other families was 0.0% compared to 0.4% in Pacific Pines - Gaven while the proportion of intact families was 86.5% compared to 82.8% in Pacific Pines - Gaven.
