Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Surfers Paradise - North in 2021 compared to Coombabah shows that 77.2% of the households owned at least one car, while 12.0% did not, compared with 89.1% and 5.7% respectively in Coombabah.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 50.2% of the households owned one car; 20.4% owned two cars; and 6.6% owned three cars or more, compared with 47.1%; 32.0% and 9.9% respectively for Coombabah.
