Dominant groups

Analysis of the country of birth of the population in Division 13 in 2021 compared to Queensland shows that there was a smaller proportion of people born overseas.

Overall, 18.9% of the population was born overseas, compared with 22.7% for Queensland.

The largest non-English speaking country of birth in Division 13 was Brazil, where 1.1% of the population, or 424 people, were born.

The major difference between the countries of birth of the population in Division 13 and Queensland was:

  • A smaller percentage of people born in India (0.2% compared to 1.4%)

Between 2011 and 2021, the number of people born overseas increased by 968 or 15.4%.
