Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in Rural South in 2021 compared to Great Ocean Road - Otways shows that there was a lower proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 4.3% of the female population earned a high income, and 38.1% earned a low income, compared with 6.6% and 34.8% respectively for Great Ocean Road - Otways.

The major differences between Rural South's female individual incomes and Great Ocean Road - Otways's female individual incomes were:

  • A larger percentage of females who earned $400 - $499 (12.0% compared to 10.4%)
