Elliminyt is bounded by the railway line, Cants Road, Pound Road, Forest Street and Barongarook Creek in the north, a line running north of Johnsons Road in the east, Shorts Road, Shurvells Road and Forans Road in the south, and Irrewillipe Road, Carlisle-Colac Road and the locality of Larpent in the west.

Settlement history

Development of the area dates primarily from the 1940s, spurred by subdivision of land and the outward growth of Colac. The population has increased since the early 1990s, a result of new dwellings being added to the area.

Elliminyt is a rural and developing residential area.
