Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Urban Bendigo in 2021 compared to the City of Greater Bendigo shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 24.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.6% were one-parent families, compared with 26.0% and 11.6% respectively for the City of Greater Bendigo.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children.
