Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Highett in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (564 people or 13.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (548 people or 13.0%)
  • Education and Training (426 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,538 people in total or 36.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Sandringham employed 15.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.4% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Highett and Sandringham were:
