Dominant groups
In 2021, there were 487 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in North West Precinct, compared with 5,007 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in North West Precinct in 2021, compared to the City of Banyule, shows that 5.2% used public transport, while 52.8% used a private vehicle, compared with 4.4% and 45.2% respectively in the City of Banyule.
The major differences in persons between the method of travel to work of North West Precinct and the City of Banyule were:
- A larger percentage of persons who travelled by car (as driver) (49.7% compared to 42.8%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who worked at home (26.0% compared to 33.4%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who walked only (1.1% compared to 2.2%)
