Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Artarmon in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (968 people or 19.8%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (648 people or 13.3%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (625 people or 12.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,241 people in total or 45.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Willoughby City employed 18.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 12.8% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 12.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Artarmon and Willoughby City were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (19.8% compared to 18.7%)
