Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Pyrmont in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (2,679 people or 37.2%)
- Managers (1,572 people or 21.8%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (802 people or 11.1%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 5,053 people in total or 70.1% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, the City of Sydney employed 41.6% in Professionals; 18.7% in Managers; and 10.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Pyrmont and the City of Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Managers (21.8% compared to 18.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed as Professionals (37.2% compared to 41.6%)
