In 2021, there were 2,811 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Canada Bay City, compared with 14,875 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Canada Bay City in 2021, compared to SSROC region, shows that 6.1% used public transport, while 31.4% used a private vehicle, compared with 7.4% and 30.1% respectively in SSROC region.
The major differences in persons between the method of travel to work of Canada Bay City and SSROC region were:
- A larger percentage of persons who worked at home (46.8% compared to 42.7%)
- A larger percentage of persons who travelled by car (as driver) (29.3% compared to 27.8%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who walked only (1.8% compared to 3.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who did not go to work (11.5% compared to 13.2%)
