Analysis of the service age groups of Canada Bay City in 2021 compared to Georges River Council area shows that there was a similar proportion of people in the younger age groups (0 to 17 years) and a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (60+ years).
Overall, 18.6% of the population was aged between 0 and 17, and 22.2% were aged 60 years and over, compared with 19.0% and 23.2% respectively for Georges River Council area.
The major differences between the age structure of Canada Bay City and Georges River Council area were:
- A larger percentage of 'Parents and homebuilders' (22.1% compared to 19.9%)
- A larger percentage of 'Young workforce' (16.7% compared to 15.5%)
- A smaller percentage of 'Tertiary education & independence' (7.9% compared to 9.8%)
