An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Strathfield Council in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (7,694 people or 33.8%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (2,942 people or 12.9%)
- Managers (2,800 people or 12.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 13,436 people in total or 58.9% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Burwood Council Area employed 30.2% in Professionals; 13.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 12.4% in Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Strathfield Council and Burwood Council Area were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Professionals (33.8% compared to 30.2%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (8.7% compared to 10.1%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed as Labourers (8.5% compared to 9.7%)
