- Health Care and Social Assistance (9,523 people or 13.8%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (9,442 people or 13.7%)
- Education and Training (7,515 people or 10.9%)
In combination, these three industries employed 26,480 people in total or 38.3% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Burwood Council Area employed 14.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 8.0% in Education and Training.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Randwick City and Burwood Council Area were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in education and training (10.9% compared to 8.0%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (13.7% compared to 11.1%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in accommodation and food services (5.3% compared to 9.1%)
