Analysis of individual income levels in Bayside Council area in 2021 compared to Georges River Council area shows that there was a similar proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 12.8% of the population earned a high income, and 30.0% earned a low income, compared with 12.5% and 33.1% respectively for Georges River Council area.
The major differences between Bayside Council area's individual incomes and Georges River Council area's individual incomes were:
- A larger percentage of persons who earned $1,250 - $1,499 (7.4% compared to 6.6%)
- A larger percentage of persons who earned $2,000 - $2,999 (8.3% compared to 7.6%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (10.0% compared to 11.4%)
