Analysis of the household/family types in Canada Bay City in 2021 compared to New South Wales shows that there was a similar proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 30.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 8.6% were one-parent families, compared with 30.8% and 10.6% respectively for New South Wales.
There were a similar proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 23.8% compared to 23.7% in New South Wales while the proportion of couples without children was 28.0% compared to 25.0% in New South Wales.
