Analysis of household income levels in Canada Bay City in 2021 compared to Waverley Council Area shows that there was a smaller proportion of high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income households (those earning less than $800 per week).
Overall, 37.8% of the households earned a high income and 15.4% were low income households, compared with 45.2% and 12.2% respectively for Waverley Council Area.
The major differences between the household incomes of Canada Bay City and Waverley Council Area were:
- A larger percentage of households who earned $2,500 - $2,999 (6.8% compared to 5.3%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $4,500 - $4,999 (8.0% compared to 10.9%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $6,000 - $7,999 (6.3% compared to 8.8%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $8,000 or more (2.5% compared to 4.8%)
