Analysis of household income levels in SSROC region in 2021 compared to the City of Canterbury Bankstown shows that there was a larger proportion of high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income households (those earning less than $800 per week).
Overall, 31.8% of the households earned a high income and 18.0% were low income households, compared with 19.5% and 24.7% respectively for the City of Canterbury Bankstown.
The major differences between the household incomes of SSROC region and the City of Canterbury Bankstown were:
- A larger percentage of households who earned $4,500 - $4,999 (6.5% compared to 2.9%)
- A larger percentage of households who earned $6,000 - $7,999 (4.8% compared to 2.0%)
- A larger percentage of households who earned $5,000 - $5,999 (4.3% compared to 2.5%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $650 - $799 (4.3% compared to 6.5%)
