Analysis of the share of the population attending educational institutions in Canada Bay City in 2021 compared to Woollahra Municipal Council area shows that there was a similar proportion attending primary school, a lower proportion attending secondary school, and a higher proportion engaged in tertiary level education.
Overall, 6.9% of the population were attending primary school, 5.7% of the population were attending secondary institutions, and 8.4% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 6.7%, 6.2% and 7.3% respectively for Woollahra Municipal Council area.
The major differences between the share of the population attending learning institutions in Canada Bay City and Woollahra Municipal Council area were:
- A larger percentage of persons attending a Catholic primary school (2.3% compared to 0.7%)
- A larger percentage of persons attending a Catholic secondary school (2.4% compared to 0.9%)
- A smaller percentage of persons attending and independent secondary school (1.4% compared to 4.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons attending an independent primary school (0.9% compared to 3.1%)
