Analysis of the unpaid domestic work performed by the female population in Randwick City in 2021 compared to SSROC region shows that there was a lower proportion of females who performed 15 hours or more of unpaid domestic work per week.
Overall, 24% of the female population reported performing 15 hours or more of unpaid domestic work, compared with 25.3% for SSROC region.
The major differences between the share of the female population performing unpaid domestic work in Randwick City and SSROC region were:
- A larger percentage of females who did unpaid domestic work (total) (73.5% compared to 68.8%)
- A larger percentage of females who did between 5 and 14 hours of domestic work (30.1% compared to 27.1%)
- A larger percentage of females who did less than 5 hours of domestic work (19.3% compared to 16.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females who did no unpaid domestic work (20.6% compared to 25.0%)
