Analysis of the unpaid domestic work performed by the population in Waverley Council Area in 2021 compared to SSROC region shows that there was a lower proportion of persons who performed 15 hours or more of unpaid domestic work per week.
Overall, 16% of the population reported performing 15 hours or more of unpaid domestic work, compared with 18.1% for SSROC region.
The major differences between the share of the population performing unpaid domestic work in Waverley Council Area and SSROC region were:
- A larger percentage of persons who did unpaid domestic work (total) (71.3% compared to 65.0%)
- A larger percentage of persons who did less than 5 hours of domestic work (25.3% compared to 20.2%)
- A larger percentage of persons who did between 5 and 14 hours of domestic work (30.2% compared to 26.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who did no unpaid domestic work (21.7% compared to 28.5%)
