Analysis of the unpaid domestic work performed by the female population in SSROC region in 2021 compared to Woollahra Municipal Council area shows that there was a similar proportion of females who performed 15 hours or more of unpaid domestic work per week.
Overall, 25% of the female population reported performing 15 hours or more of unpaid domestic work, compared with 25.2% for Woollahra Municipal Council area.
The major differences between the share of the female population performing unpaid domestic work in SSROC region and Woollahra Municipal Council area were:
- A larger percentage of females who did no unpaid domestic work (25.0% compared to 16.6%)
- A smaller percentage of females who did unpaid domestic work (total) (68.8% compared to 77.5%)
- A smaller percentage of females who did between 5 and 14 hours of domestic work (27.1% compared to 31.6%)
- A smaller percentage of females who did less than 5 hours of domestic work (16.3% compared to 20.6%)
