Analysis of the car ownership of the households in the City of Sydney in 2021 compared to Canada Bay City shows that 56.2% of the households owned at least one car, while 36.7% did not, compared with 86.0% and 10.1% respectively in Canada Bay City.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 43.6% of the households owned one car; 10.5% owned two cars; and 2.0% owned three cars or more, compared with 44.2%; 31.0% and 10.8% respectively for Canada Bay City.
