Dominant groups

Analysis of the five year age groups of the population born overseas in the City of Ryde in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Ryde shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 4.4% of the population born overseas was aged between 0 and 14, and 18.1% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 16.2% and 15.1% respectively for the total population in the City of Ryde.
