Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Carrum in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (328 people or 14.9%)
  • Construction (304 people or 13.9%)
  • Education and Training (203 people or 9.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 835 people in total or 38.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Kingston employed 13.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.0% in Construction; and 9.5% in Education and Training.
