Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Ipswich in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (10,892 people or 21.5%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (10,363 people or 20.4%)
  • Professionals (10,333 people or 20.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 31,588 people in total or 62.3% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, City of Ipswich - Total population employed 13.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; 14.0% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 16.4% in Professionals.
