Dominant groups
Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings for low income households in City of Ipswich in 2021 compared to South East Queensland shows that there was a lower proportion of households in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a higher proportion in dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 21.6% of low income households were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less and 30.5% in 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 33.3% and 25.2% for South East Queensland respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling for low income households in the City of Ipswich and South East Queensland were:
