Analysis of household income levels in Etheridge (S) in 2021 compared to FNQROC region shows that there was a smaller proportion of high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a similar proportion of low income households (those earning less than $800 per week).
Overall, 13.4% of the households earned a high income and 25.0% were low income households, compared with 14.3% and 24.8% respectively for FNQROC region.
The major differences between the household incomes of Etheridge (S) and FNQROC region were:
- A larger percentage of households who earned Not stated (13.4% compared to 9.6%)
- A larger percentage of households who earned $1,750 - $1,999 (7.9% compared to 5.7%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $2,000 - $2,499 (7.4% compared to 10.5%)
- A smaller percentage of households who earned $500 - $649 (2.9% compared to 5.0%)
