An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Darebin in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (8,749 females or 22.0%)
- Education and Training (5,716 females or 14.4%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (4,171 females or 10.5%)
In combination, these three industries employed 18,636 females in total or 46.9% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 21.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.0% in Education and Training; and 8.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Darebin and Greater Melbourne were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in public administration and safety (8.1% compared to 5.6%)
