Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Cities of Albury and Wodonga in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (8,284 people or 17.6%)
  • Retail Trade (5,009 people or 10.6%)
  • Construction (4,742 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 18,035 people in total or 38.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Martin Park employed 18.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.5% in Retail Trade; and 10.7% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the Cities of Albury and Wodonga and Martin Park were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in education and training (9.4% compared to 6.8%)
