Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Wodonga Growth Area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Public Administration and Safety (693 people or 20.0%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (592 people or 17.1%)
- Retail Trade (336 people or 9.7%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,621 people in total or 46.8% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Martin Park employed 8.2% in Public Administration and Safety; 18.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.5% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Wodonga Growth Area and Martin Park were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in public administration and safety (20.0% compared to 8.2%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (7.5% compared to 10.6%)
