Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Belvoir in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (154 males or 20.2%)
  • Construction (128 males or 16.8%)
  • Retail Trade (80 males or 10.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 362 males in total or 47.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Wodonga East employed 16.5% in Manufacturing; 18.1% in Construction; and 10.3% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Belvoir and Wodonga East were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (20.2% compared to 16.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (4.2% compared to 6.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (7.1% compared to 9.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in other services (4.3% compared to 5.9%)
