Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Wangaratta (Central - East) in 2021 compared to the Rural City of Wangaratta shows that 85.7% of the households owned at least one car, while 8.8% did not, compared with 88.3% and 4.8% respectively in the Rural City of Wangaratta.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 40.6% of the households owned one car; 32.4% owned two cars; and 12.7% owned three cars or more, compared with 30.9%; 36.1% and 21.3% respectively for the Rural City of Wangaratta.
