Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in the City of Greater Shepparton in 2021 compared to Shepparton North East shows that 87.2% of the households owned at least one car, while 4.7% did not, compared with 94.7% and 2.0% respectively in Shepparton North East.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.

Overall, 30.8% of the households owned one car; 34.4% owned two cars; and 22.0% owned three cars or more, compared with 25.3%; 43.6% and 25.9% respectively for Shepparton North East.
