Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Serpentine area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (136 people or 12.2%)
  • Mining (109 people or 9.8%)
  • Retail Trade (90 people or 8.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 335 people in total or 30.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale employed 11.6% in Construction; 7.8% in Mining; and 9.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Serpentine area and the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale were:
