Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Sturt in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (192 females or 31.0%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (146 females or 23.6%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (95 females or 15.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 433 females in total or 70.0% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Dover Gardens employed 28.4% in Professionals; 22.5% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 18.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Sturt and Dover Gardens were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (31.0% compared to 28.4%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (23.6% compared to 22.5%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (6.5% compared to 10.1%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (15.3% compared to 18.1%)
